Prior to embarking on a career as a Non-Executive Director, Jo was an Audit Engagement Leader at PwC for over 8 years, and worked at PwC for over 20 years in the Channel Islands, UK and Canada. Jo was responsible for the audits of a portfolio of Asset Management Clients including Premium listings and privately regulated GFSC / FCA / JFSC vehicles. Jo also held a number of other leadership roles including Risk & Quality, Controls Assurance and Innovation & Technology. Jo specialises in private equity valuations, is a qualified Chartered Accountant and also holds an Honours degree in Accounting.
Jo is the Chair of the Guernsey Investment & Fund Association Executive Committee and sits on the Guernsey International Business Association Council.
Joanne has delivered Assurance services to hundreds of reputable clients predominantly in the Investment Management space in Guernsey, London, Toronto, Europe and the United States. With 10 years experience in Risk & Quality, Joanne has great experience considering the risks that a business is exposed to and how to manage those risks alongside vis-a-vis commerciality.
Joanne joined the GIFA Education Sub-Committee in 2012, and was part of the Committee that launched the Academy Programme. Joanne chaired the GIFA Education committee from 2014-2017 and became an Executive Committee Member in 2017.
