    Stephen Ozanne

    Chair of the GIFA Custodian Committee

    Stephen is Chief Executive of Liberum Wealth. Prior to Liberum, Stephen established and led Walkers’ Channel Islands Regulatory & Risk Advisory Group following its merger with Guernsey law firm AO Hall, where he worked for over 12 years. His practice there included all aspects of financial services regulation and he was ranked as a rising star by Legal 500.

    Stephen was called to the Bar of England & Wales in 2008 with a Harmsworth Scholarship, he holds an LLB from the College of Law and a BA (Hons) in Politics from the University of Exeter

    Elisha Backhouse

    Elisha joined PwC CI as a school leaver from Guernsey at the age of 18 and was promoted to assurance director in 2023.

    Elisha’s audit experience is broad across the financial services industry but predominantly in venture capital and private equity funds. She has a deep understanding of fund operations and has worked with clients of all sizes, from first-time promoters to funds listed on the London Stock Exchange.

    Patrick Cummins

    Chair

    Patrick is the Head of Private Equity and an Executive Director for Apex Fund and Corporate Services Guernsey Limited. A specialist in the operation of offshore Fund Structures, having been based in the Channel Islands since 2012, his role with Apex involves complete oversight of Regulatory, Financial Reporting and Corporate Governance disciplines and affords him an excellent vantage point within the Funds Industry. Prior to Joining Apex, Patrick worked as an Audit Manager in Ireland and is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA) with 15 years of finance industry experience.

    Harry Bazzaz

    Chair of the Managers' Committee

    Harry is an Investment Director at Rocq Capital. His work includes the management of client portfolios as well as involvement in the securities broking business. He began his career at J.P. Morgan in London, progressing to become a portfolio manager in the currency and emerging market debt teams, and then ran a boutique investment management business in Guernsey before joining Rocq Capital.

    Harry is a CFA Charterholder, a Chartered Wealth Manager, holds the Investment Management Certificate and is a Chartered Member of the CISI. He has an MA in Economics from Jesus College, University of Cambridge.

    Katy Hodgetts

    Katy holds a number of non-executive directorships across a range of investment styles and portfolios. She is an Independent Director and an experienced Funds professional having held senior investor relations and strategic business development roles over 18 years in the investment sector and the fund industry

     

    With extensive knowledge of onshore/offshore vehicles, open and closed ended, traditional and alternative funds as well as being well versed in offshore governance. Katy has a sound awareness and understanding of current issues that impact the investment industry and the effect these will have on Funds and Investors.

    Katy holds a BSc from the University of Southampton and the Investment Management Certificate, and currently sits on the Guernsey Investment Fund Association Marketing Committee. Katy holds the Institute of Directors Certificate and Diploma in Company Direction, and Chartered Director status.

    Paul Le Page

    Chair of the NED Subcommittee

    Paul Le Page was an executive Director and Senior Portfolio Manager of FRM Investment Management Limited, a subsidiary of Man Group PLC until the closure of the firm’s Guernsey office in December 2019.  He has just become a full-time NED after 16-years’ experience as a part-time NED for LSE listed offerings by various investment firms including Cazenove Capital and F&C Thames River and holds non-executive directorships of a number of LSE listed investment Companies and a local wealth management firm.

    Paul originally qualified as Chartered Engineer and studied for his MBA whilst working as the  R&D Director for Dynex Technologies Guernsey Limited where he led the development of robotic immuno assay equipment.  Paul specialises in financial risk management and is  Audit Committee Chair for 3 LSE listed entities that invest in solar infrastructure, mortgage securitisations and biotechnology private equity respectively.
