GIFA Academy Event – Gold’s role in history and in your portfolio

Over the centuries gold has kept its allure but has it lost its shine today?  Gold has for decades been used as a measure of wealth by both individuals and governments but is also used by industry. Often, it is used as a hedge against uncertainty in a portfolio and, given the uncertain times in which we currently live, has probably found a place in a number of portfolios today.

I am delighted to welcome Robin Newbould, managing director of Ravenscroft Precious Metals, who will look into the history of gold as an investment, from the Lydian empire to today!
