The Ugly, the Bad and the Good of Activism in the listed funds sector
October 8 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
The past few years have provided unprecedented challenges for NEDs of listed funds, with the highest number of mergers, PE buy-outs, failed continuation votes, and investor activism on record. This event, which is exclusively designed for NEDs of funds on a listed stock exchange, is a ‘Chatham house’ dinner to give attendees a unique insight into how to deal with these issues in an open and informal setting.
Attendees will hear from two highly experienced NEDs in the listed funds sector – Simon Holden and Chris Waldron – who both have cutting edge experience in working with activism. This includes managing investment managers whose own governance and performance have fallen short, as well as dealing with significant discount positions which can often increase the tension. Spaces are strictly limited to 20 attendees to allow for an inclusive, open discussion and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
We encourage all GIFA members who are NEDs of a listed fund(s) to contact us as soon as possible to secure a space at this unique event.
