The latest developments in the world of reinsurance – and Guernsey’s ability to deliver solutions in a capital constrained world – will be discussed at the Reinsurance Masterclass in London next month. Titled Opportunities for Capital in a Disrupted Reinsurance Market, the event is aimed at reinsurers, capital providers, brokers, consultants and advisors and is hosted by Guernsey Finance as part of its ILS Insight series. The event will feature two panel discussions, both moderated by John Rowson, Chair of the Guernsey International Insurance Association’s ESG committee.

The recent fourth annual Natural Capital Investment Conference, hosted by Environmental Finance and supported by Sustainable Finance Guernsey, saw a number of local practitioners attend and speak. The conference attracted 300 attendees, including institutional investors, asset managers and service providers, and the discussions focused on integrating nature and biodiversity into investment decisions and analysis. The event highlighted the increasing momentum towards this new sustainable investment opportunity.
