Sentiment Survey highlights confidence in the future of finance in Guernsey

Confidence in the future of Guernsey’s Financial Services sector is positive according to a survey of business leaders carried out by Guernsey Finance.
The survey was sent out to local professionals, including CEOs and MDs of banks, law firms, accountants, insurance managers, private wealth providers and fund specialists. 
The results confirmed healthy business development and profitability – as reported by 92.

GFSC updates Natural Capital Fund rules and guidance

The Natural Capital Fund framework rules and guidance have been updated to better reflect international agreements.
At the end of last year, governments from around the world came together at the COP15 to agree on a new set of goals to guide global action in halting and reversing nature loss by 2030.
The Guernsey Financial Services Commission launched the Natural Capital Fund in September 2022 as part of the growing Guernsey Sustainable Funds Regime.

GAPP Framework release adds to Guernsey’s growing suite of ESG considerations

The Guernsey Association of Pension Providers (GAPP) has today published an ESG framework aimed at giving guidance to industry practitioners who wish to incorporate Environmental, Social and Governance considerations into their pension planning.
The framework is similar in structure to the Guernsey International Insurance Association’s ESG framework that was launched in 2021, and further strengthens Guernsey’s growing suite of ESG-focused guidance.
“ESG is no longer marginal and is increasingly being regarded as a core issue for international pension schemes.
