GIFA Directors’ Forum – Are Central Banks Ready to Hit Reverse Gear?

29/06/2023 @ 8:30 am - 9:30 am

We are pleased to welcome Neil Parker of NatWest Markets to present at our upcoming Directors’ Forum, taking place on Thursday 29th June at 8.30am.

Events appear to have overtaken the central banks. In 2022, they were taken by surprise by the surge in prices. 2023 appears to be very different. Inflation may still be high, but that appears to be predominantly base effects. Meanwhile, money supply is falling, manufacturing activity has slumped, and even the labour markets are showing signs of weakness.

So what does this mean for interest rates, asset markets, macroeconomies and FX markets as we move deeper into 2023 and look forward to 2024? We’ll have Neil Parker, Market Strategist from NatWest Markets to walk you through the latest macro update.

The event is being held at PwC, 321 Royal Bank Place, St. Peter Port, GY1 4ND and will start promptly at 8.30am.

Complimentary breakfast and light refreshments will be provided.
