The Challenges and Opportunities of being an Investment Company Director

We are pleased to welcome Richard Stone, Chief Executive of the Association of Investment Companies, to present our upcoming Academy Event, taking place on Thursday 20th July at 12.30pm.
Investment companies have been around over 150 years and, whilst listed in London, many are domiciled in Guernsey.
In this session Richard Stone, Chief Executive of the AIC will share some insights into the sector, how it has evolved in recent years and, as a result, what boards are now looking for when recruiting non-executive directors. He will also highlight some of the challenges and opportunities of sitting on a listed fund (investment company) board and how this can differ when compared to other fund or investment structures.
Finally, Richard will look at the key issues boards are wrestling with today and where is next for the sector.
The event is being held at Les Cotils, in the Carol Hindes room. We would politely request you arrive in good time for the presentation, which will start promptly at 12.30pm. Complimentary sandwiches and light refreshments will be provided.
